        Warfarin Sodium is a coumarin‑class oral anticoagulant.It inhibits vitamin K epoxide reductase, thereby blocking the γ‑carboxylation of coagulation factors II, VII, IX, and X,strongly suppressing the blood coagulation cascade and exerting a long‑lasting anticoagulant effect.

 

Application:

-Clinical Medical Use

    Prevention and treatment of thromboembolic diseases Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), peripheral arterial embolism.

-Cardiovascular indications

     Atrial fibrillation (AF), especially to reduce stroke risk;after heart valve replacement (mechanical valves);post‑myocardial infarction to prevent mural thrombosis.

-Long‑term anticoagulation therapy

     For chronic high‑thrombosis‑risk patients requiring long‑term oral management.
