Application:

    Diclofenac sodium is a white or off white, odorless, hygroscopic crystalline powder that reduces prostaglandin synthesis by inhibiting cyclooxygenase. The indication is for relieving mild to moderate pain in muscles, soft tissues, and joints. For example, relieving pain caused by muscle and soft tissue sprains, strains, contusions, strains, lower back injuries, and joint pain. It can also be used for symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis. Adverse reactions include abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, indigestion, bloating, vomiting, gastritis, constipation, rash, dizziness, headache, and excessive menstruation. Liver disease patients may experience elevated levels of S-GPT, S-GOT, and bilirubin. Occasionally seen kidney damage.
