At the same time, Roche abandoned multiple research and development pipelines such as FAP/4-1BB bispecific antibody, HER2/CD3 bispecific antibody, GPC3/CD3 bispecific antibody, IL-15, etc. The newly added clinical pipeline includes new molecules, including the acquisition of Poseida's universal CAR-T therapy for solid tumors, DLL3 ADC introduced by Xinda Biotech, KRAS G12D inhibitors, etc.
On November 26, 2024, Roche announced that the phase III clinical trial SKYSCRAPER-01 of PD-L1 antibody+TIGIT antibody combination therapy for locally recurrent or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer did not meet the primary endpoint of OS in the final analysis.
In July last year, Roche updated its R&D pipeline with the latest adjustments in its first half financial report, which terminated four phase III clinical trials, including two phase III clinical trials using TIGIT antibody Tiragolumab for the treatment of NSCLC. One was PD-L1+TIGIT+chemotherapy first-line treatment for NSCLC, and the other was PD-L1+TIGIT postoperative adjuvant treatment for NSCLC.
At that time, there were only five Phase III clinical trials left for Roche TIGIT antibodies, two focused on NSCLC, two on esophageal cancer, and one on liver cancer.
Roche was a pioneer in exploring TIGIT targets. After multiple clinical setbacks, they finally abandoned TIGIT targets and instead focused on general CAR-T, more ADCs, small molecule KRAS G12D, and other technologies. At the same time, clinical progress has been continuously made in TCE for Roche hematological malignancies, and this time two solid tumor TCEs will be abandoned.
