Product introduction:

    N-hexane is a naturally occurring hydrocarbon in petroleum and one of the main components of petroleum ether and naphtha. The chemical formula is C6H14, which belongs to straight chain saturated fatty hydrocarbons. It is a colorless and transparent liquid at room temperature, with a slight petroleum odor. Easy to evaporate, steam is heavier than air. Form an explosive mixture with air, with an explosive limit of 1.18% to 7.4% (volume fraction). N-hexane is widely used as a solvent for extracting cooking oil, a solvent for rubber, a finishing agent for artificial leather, a cleaning agent for precision components, a stain remover for clothing, a detergent for pharmaceutical tablets, and a mixed solvent for formulation [1-3].
    There are four isomers of n-hexane, namely 2-methylpentane (isohexane), 3-methylpentane, 2,3-dimethylbutane (diisopropylalkane), and 2,2-dimethylbutane (new hexane) [3], all of which are colorless, volatile, and flammable liquid alkanes with a weak special odor.

 

Application:

Hexane is used for solvents, extraction, organic synthesis, cleaning in the electronics industry, as an extractant in the pharmaceutical industry, and also as an extractant for edible vegetable oils. In addition, Hexane is also a high octane fuel.
