Application:

Crinecerfont (SSR-125543) is an effective oral active, non peptide CRF1 receptor antagonist primarily used for the treatment of congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH). Crinecerfont inhibits pituitary secretion of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) by blocking the binding of corticotropin releasing factor (CRF) to CRF1 receptors in the pituitary gland, thereby reducing ACTH mediated adrenal androgen production and helping to control androgen levels in adults and children over 4 years old
