Application:

    Linezolid is an antibiotic that is an inhibitor of bacterial protein synthesis. Linezolid has shown good antibacterial activity against methicillin-resistant or methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, vancomycin sensitive or resistant Escherichia coli, penicillin sensitive or resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae, and also has antibacterial activity against anaerobic bacteria. Unlike other drugs, linezolid does not affect peptidyl transferase activity. The site and mode of action of linezolid are unique, so it is not easy to develop cross resistance with other antibacterial drugs that inhibit protein synthesis in positive bacteria with essential or acquired resistance characteristics, and it is also not easy to induce bacterial resistance in vitro. Used for infections caused by vancomycin resistant Enterococcus faecalis, as well as concurrent and non concurrent skin and skin structure infections.
