Application:
Aprotinin is a serine protease inhibitor (Kd value of 0.06 pM for bovine β - tyrpsin) used to reduce perioperative blood loss and transfusion.
Recombinant aprotinin can be used as a peptidase inhibitor, which can inhibit trypsin, chymotrypsin, and fibrinolytic enzymes. Used for fibrinolysis, acute pancreatitis, and pancreatic necrosis.
