Application:

    Varenicline tartrate/Chantix is a medication used to treat nicotine addiction. On May 11, 2006, it was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to assist smokers in quitting smoking. It can help smokers quit smoking in two ways: partially activating nicotine receptors to alleviate the craving and withdrawal syndrome of smokers towards nicotine, and reducing smoking related euphoria when the therapist reopens, thereby preventing their smoking thoughts.
