Application:

     Danicapan is mainly used to treat paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), especially in patients who do not respond well to C5 inhibitors. Danicapan is an oral complement factor D inhibitor that controls PNH hemolysis by targeting the early stages of the complement pathway (AP). Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the activity of factor D, block the formation of C3 convertase (C3bRb), reduce the deposition of C3b on the surface of red blood cells, thereby controlling extravascular hemolysis and indirectly reducing intravascular hemolysis.
